Cool. I missed the one Saturday and in fact I haven't yet been to one here in Phoenix yet. I have been to a Hometown buffet before that was around McDowell Rd. and Scottsdale Rd. Unless I run out of town that weekend, you can count me on being there for the OC dinner. Just curious if you guys check ahead of time if OC is fine before showing up. I've been there before but never carried openly. I didn't see any signage, though.

that sucks. I take the written exam for the CHP on the 11th. I'm starting to think I'll never get to go to one.

There have been no panic calls to 911, no screaming women, no young children were traumatized which would require a life long treatment at a state funded mental health clinic. No nearby schools went into lock down, and most important: Not one hand gun jumped out of a holster and ran around threatening innocent people!

There has to be a restaurant other than buffets, that doesn't sell booze. Because all buffets taste the same, like crap.

Well then you can count me in. I'm not crazy about Hometown Buffet but I'm a vegetarian and they have plenty that even I can fill up on. It's not that cheap either but with several plates full, I can't complain. It will be my first OC dinner with the group here at the board. As much as I OC a lot of the time, the thought of seeing a restaurant where dozens of patrons are carrying guns is a bit comical. I wonder if the non-members will think we are in some militia or something.

I'll come with my standard carry: OC pistol/CC knife. I was going to bring a cannon but it might block the aisle from handicapped access.

Damn, missed the last one, and that's kind of a long drive just for crummy food.  Maybe next time.

It's all set.....

July OC dinner meet in the Phoenix area:

Saturday July 11 @ 6pm. Hometown Buffet, 1312 N. Scottsdale rd, Scottsdale. Just north of the 202. Dialed it into my GPS -- about 240 miles round trip from NE Tucson, which is a piece of cake on a motorcycle.

Hometown Buffet isn't the greatest Buffet food, but the crowd up there is OC friendly.

I'd like to know too since it is THIS Saturday. What time is it? Do we all meet up outside first? I don't want to show up only to find that no one is there.

In the absence of the OP, we could set something up on the fly. Same location, 6 PM? I'm sure we should call ahead for a large party, but this thread hasn't been all that lively, so I'm not sure we'd get more than a couple people anyway.

I was planning on being there but it does concern me that the OP as well as others haven't posted any updates to this (which was posted a month ago). It would be pretty rude on our part to have the restaurant be ready expecting dozens of us and having everything all set up and nobody shows up. Why hasn't the OP gotten back with us? People should post here if they are planning on coming. If nobody is coming, somebody should call them and cancel it.

Ok, at least we have me and Dave coming. Swift said he'd be there but he hasn't gotten back with us. Anyone else?
