I took it that he meant to discourage it from occurring, as compared to stopping an existing occurrence.

I may be biased in some ways, but those who cannot admit to their own... and hide behind 'rules' or some mistaken version of respect for a criminal with a badge... then imply that others are 'going to cross a line' just because they don't hold LEOs as beyond reproach no matter what, etc... blah blah blah. It all adds up to dirty business.

I don't bash anyone, I let them bash themselves first. I just stand there and point at it.
...well, except for people who try to say I have less honor than someone who abuses a trusted position, badge, and uniform.

Hey ixtow, Have you stopped to think that maybe this female LEO might have had the hots for you? Maybe she wanted you to notice HER and ask her out. Maybe you were wearing a cologne that she just couldn't get enough of and it was driving her crazy in heat. Maybe you project a "bad boy" image and it turned her on.
Hell man, you might have blown a good thing here.
Oh, as for the fool that pulled the airgun on the cop....... just plain dumb. Natural selection at it's finest. the Smart survive, while the idiots parish. Good for the gene pool.

You're not the first to suggest that. No, she definitely wasn't.
I don't have a 'bad boy' image. I have a "I'm broke, so there's no reason any succubus, I mean, woman, would have a reason to be interested in me" kind of image.
But, no, she was NOT in any way on that line. I get hit on by women enough to know what it is. But I'm dead broke, and that will never change. Been down that road plenty of times. No woman ever loves a man more than money, fancy cars, big houses, or his credit cards.
That part of my life is over. It wouldn't matter even if she did. I could never see past the badge and all the wrong I've seen it do, nor the gender and all it's empty promises. I've considered the matter before. Not much of a foundation to build on there, eh?
