I'm trying to find a kydex paddle holster for my Sigma (sw9ve) but of course it is not on the model selection. I know it is almost the same as the Glock and many compare it to the Glock 19. My question is, if I purchase a kydex holster fit for the Glock, will mine fit and function the same?

There are no shortage of gun shops near you. And there is always Cabelas. You can take it with you and fit it to a holster.

Even if a holster is made exactly for your gun, it's still best to make sure it fits well and is to your liking before you buy it.

The one that I go to asks right away if you are planning to take it out of the holster, so before going in. So I'm not too sure they would let me try some on.:?

Cabelas? They certainly do ask that, and they certainly do allow you to fit holsters. I've been to the Glendale one like 15 or 20 times, and I did fit and buy a holster there once.

It's a fairly smart way they do it. There is no reason to harass someone for merely carrying loaded, nor is there a reason to allow people to use loaded guns to fit holsters. So that's what the rules allow.

I suggest going in there with your gun in a case, unloaded with the slide locked back. The guy at the door will slap a trigger lock on it when you tell him you're going to try holsters. Then you go find some holsters, and take them and your gun to the gun counter. They'll take the lock off, and you can try them out there. Then they'll lock the gun back up, you go pay if you're buying one, and the person at the door takes the lock back off.

I know this may seem annoying, but it's all about insurance and liability, and frankly I don't think it's a bad way to do it.

Hmmm... I never thought about that, nor did I know that is how they did things there. I have only been there a few times and wasn't too sure. Thanks alot for your help.

That's what I was thinking, being that they were molded and all. I know Fobus makes some for the Sigma series, but I'm not much of a fan of their products. But it seems like they are the only ones that have them.

Thanks for that info. I am going to try and head to Cabelas today and try some on. I've been meaning to go but free time is not something I have had lately. I am curious to see how well it does fit in the Sig style. I know when I went last time (I didn't have my weapon with me), the guy that was assisting me really was trying to get me to buy a leather one and said those would fit better in the Glock style. We'll see soon hopefully.

I tried the Sig 220/226 style last night at Cabelas, and they didn't seem to work for me.

I never heard of them but they got some pretty cool stuff when I checked them out. I went to Cabelas last night and tried on the Blackhawk Serpa holster and the Glock 20/S&W M&P worked just great.

Avoid the SERPA. It is a bag of problems.
