I figured I would compile a list of stores, restaurants, what have you that are not firearm friendly.
I will update the list periodically, and will put it into a spread sheet alphabetically by locale.
If you know of any shops that do not allow firearms, post em!
Maybe we can change their minds

Value City Furniture is the only place in Indiana I've seen with a sign so far. I think it's corporate-wide, but I've only ever been to the one in Castleton.
You might also use MCGRO's list as a baseline.

I'm guessing firearms there must have been a huge problem at one time. I mean, just look at the body count.
C'mon, that was funny. You know you laughed.

Most of the major movie theaters in South Bend have a no guns allowed sign. Most people just ignore it.

The Costco VDZ seems to be widespread. I've seen that in the state of Washington as well as Indiana. May be a corporate policy.
I won't say what I did or didn't do. -Just that there were noooo problems.
I would suspicion that it gets routinely ignored by folks CC'ing.
To bad the only folks that might consider paying attention to those signs are law abiding citizens.
And we know 'bangers and thieves don't care about such trivial inconveniences other than to THANK the proprietors for making their 'job' easier.
The only place I have seen a sign so far is the IRS sub office in Greenwood. The signs went up after a nutjob with a tax problem went in and shot an IRS leach. See paragraphs above.
Silly people.

| I am usually carrying where ever I go, and I was very surprised when I stopped at 'Priscillas' in Merrillville. Signs at the entrance of the store say "no weapons allowed on premises." For those of you who don't know... Priscilla's is basically a porn store.. lol. But still.... what's the big deal, why don't they want us to carry our guns in there??

Guess they don't want it going off prematurely.

They probably have the same misinterpreted notion that all the other gun free zones do, crime will run rampant if people can bring their guns in, when we know it is just the opposite. That area of Merrillville borders Gary somewhat, especially at night the surrounding areas do have quite a bit of crime, vandalism and that sort of thing. Also, the business is in that little alley way kind of far from the main strip of malls adjacent to it, if I had to guess, thats what I think their reasoning is.

I will deb, I could even email you a copy perhaps, its not long yet,but that is a good thing, as all I have to base it off of is my own experience, plus any additions made on this thread by others.

There's a Priscillas adult store in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and it definitely has a "NO WEAPONS" sign on the front door. I wonder if the stores are in some way related (on a corporate level, not a product level ) and it's a company-wide policy? It make sense that alcohol and firearms do not mix, but adult stores and firearms not mixing?

| I don't know if it's just Simon Management Group or just Greenwood Park Mall. On their little rules sign it states NO firearms, openly carried or concealed, with or with out a permit.

I think it's Simon. Castleton Square Mall (also a Simon mall) recently changed their posted policy and added the same clause to their sign.

Simon bans weapons chainwide. The only places I have seen is 5/3 bank in Nashville has a no gun symbol on their door. I asked a teller and she said it is corporate policy but I have never seen any other 5/3 locations with signs. Also Columbus Regional Hospital has "no weapons" signs posted.

Our local mall doesn't have a no gun sign, but it is a SIMON mall... Was thinking about going there tomorrow, but didn't want to cause trouble.
Anyone else carry at a SIMON mall without issues?
