It ain't much, but we all start somewhere, right?
10/9/06 - I OC'd at Ray's, a gas station with a sporting goods store attached. The store is actually named Ray's, but the gas station is also commonly referred to as that.
Was on my way from Billings to Lewistown, and needed something to drink. Went in, got my stuff, exchanged pleasantries with the cashier, and was out the door.
It went by fast, and he told me to come on in again.
I don't think he cared either, at least he didn't express it.
More to come, Hopefully.

| I frequently open carry, and I probably have received a few second glances, but never had anyone ask me to leave the premises.

Several weeks ago I carried openly in a restaurant Kind of a High Falutin Joint
It was covered untill I sat down and had my jacket off. The couple next to me kept looking over at it every now and then as if to make shure it was still their.
They never said a word about it as far as I know.

I OC all the time. If you want to start slow, just OC the holster and a mag pouch with a magazine in it.
I do OC when I head into town, but I do know that some places will give you more grief than others. Billings where Matt is located is one such place where you could get more, Missoula is another. I have no problem in Helena, or Great Falls, or any of the smaller towns and places that dot Montana.
I believe that it is harder to OC than it is to CCW due to societies change of perception, especially to those that choose to OC.
Stay safe..

Hey lucus, i am from kalispell and have a question which gas station did you oc into. The gas station i usually go into has a sign saying "Attention hunters, No firearms allowed". Also is it legal to oc into a gas station with a sign.

If they have a sign you shouldnt go in. Do they still have the sign up when its not hunting season? What gas station is it that has that sign?
There is a exxon just before you leave town towards libby, Ive OC in there in the mornings during hunting season.
As your heading south on 93 past the courthouse a few blocks that first gas station on the left ive open carried in also.
Have you been to the gun show yet this weekend?

As you are heading north towards whitefish right as you leave evergreen there is a gas station on the right. It is right next to wendy's. They only have the sign up during hunting season. I probally won't go the the gun show because i am under 18 and my parents don't really want to go. Where do you hunt

Nope, just quiet as usual.
As a side note, I ignore the "Hunters no firearms" signs as when I am in there I am not hunting, or going hunting, if asked. I am working, since I am a rancher. No problems yet. If asked to leave, I would.

How's that? Do you have a source for that info? If a gun is in a holster OWB it is partially covered.
