if you buy your ammo anywhere else, you're paying more.  even in mass quantity.

i just compared 9mm handgun ammo prices (both FMJ and JHP) of about fifteen of the top websites that come up on Google's search for cheap/discount ammo, and every single website charges more per round than my two local Wal-Marts, even if you're buying 1000 rounds! PLUS they charge shipping!

Yep!  I've known that for a while.  The 100 count WWB is nice and cheap from there, and it shoots great, too!  They don't carry my defensive ammo, though :(.

Nope, no defensive ammo, but I get some WWB, Blazer Brass, and Remington UMC mega pack for my 40 and 45.

They all have ran flawlessly though my guns so far, but I still buy the more expensive stuff to carry, Gold Dots or Golden Sabers.

My Wal-Mart was Winchester JHPs. A while back I got a few boxes of 230gr .45 JHP there for $24, which was a steal. I checked last night, they had .45 Blazers for $13.97 and 9mm Blazers for $8.97. Think I will stock pile some.....

I can't find any place around my area that has any 9mm CCI Blazer....

But Wally World seems to be the place to go in the Triad :)

I have found out that they aren't replacing the ammo as fast as it is selling.  One store has been out for about two weeks now.

I just got a tip that wal-mart is supposed to be hiking prices on ammo in early to mid January, so keep an eye out.  This could just be more rumor, but it came from a relatively reliable source (a retired MGySgt).

I'd be really surprised if everyone else wasn't also raising their price by a similar amount.
