Hiya. I'm new to the board and OC in general. I have a Virginia CWP and carry concealed when not on base. (barracks life. whee.) Just recently started looking into it and the legality of OC on college campuses (another topic entirely).

Anyhow, i'd be willing to come out for an OC dinner, as long as i'm not working that night. I'll see if I can get a few of my buddies interested as well.

See you there. So we will meet in the front by the rocking chairs right?

My grandmother passed away this weekend.  I can't say something won't come up next time, but I will try and be there.

I would have loved to come to the solidarity dinner but I was arrested in Jacksonville for Going Armed to the Terror of the People because I went to Navy Federal open carrying. And right now the Marine Corps has me on restriction for Article 134. ([disorderly] conduct to bring discredit to the Armed Forces. )
so I don't really know when I'm going to open carry again.

I live in Washington NC. It's a bit of a drive to Jacksonville, but I was wondering if anyone else was in this area and wanted to get together at some mid-point like New Bern?

How about Moore's BBQ? I called them to verify, and they DO NOT serve alcohol. I haven't eaten there, but by all reports, they have REALLY good food...

This Friday or Saturday (October 2,3) would both be good for me. But I'll be out of town next weekend (9,10 Oct).

However, there is a gun show in Greenville this weekend. Maybe some of us could meet at the show, and then have an "OC dinner meet" after the show in Greenville or Washington. We'd just need to be careful about our driving route in Greenville, and be sure we avoided the ECU campus...

So this is what happens?  I should have read this. Now I am turned off to OC as a Marine in NC.
