I live in Raleigh near Capital and 440. There has been 4 or 5 breakins this month alone. Up until now its been about 1 or 2 a month this year.

The community has requested more patrols but RPD said that 1 or 2 a month is normal and they wouldnt do it. We cant even get the community RPD officer to go to the our community watch meetings. He said that at least 50% of the community has to be there for it to be worth his time. I think he as been to one out of 6 this year.

Any tips on getting more patrols here?

I'd bet if there was unknown gunfire in the neighborhood things would wake up.  There's usually alot of fireworks noises in my neighborhood even before the 4th of July.

I found out a way to get cops to my neighborhood.

Catch a guy in a patch of woods about 10ft wide between the street and the back of a house!

It still took 2 cops 10 minutes to get there. I informed the 911 operator I was open carrying. When the officer arrived I stated I was open carrying, he didnt even think twice.

I questioned the guy in the woods where he lived. "Around the corner"

Then for some reason I asked if I could walk him home. He replied "No thanks Im just watching someone". LOL at that point I called 911 he started to walk away, I followed, he turned the corner around the woods and took off.
