Actually, the PT92 is a really nice piece of equipment as well.
It's a bit large, but it also holds 17+1.

| Walther PPK/s or SW Combat Masterpiece for concealed, for opencarry either of those or a Walther P38 in a holster designed for a Beretta 92. I load all with Glaser Safey frangibles except in winter when due to penetration issues I switch to HydraShoks. When carrying large sums of money from home to bank I open-carry my SW 629 .44 Mag for the deterrent effect. Not that I won't use it if necessary......

Well Alex, you know the saying, the best protection is the kind you never have to use.

I carry a Taurus Millenium Pro PT140. It's the most accurate compact I've ever had the pleasure to shoot
Edit: The trigger has a lot of slack in it and takes some getting used to, though.

FN 5.7mm in a Sherpa. Yes, I hired a native Nepalese to carry it for me.
Recently bought a kydex reinforced leather belt from 5.11. So much more comfortable than my regular leather belt!

Ruger New Vaquero, 4 5/8", .45 Colt. It replaces a Ruger Blackhawk in same caliber.
I know... a single action revolver. I'm used to SA revolvers and most of all I'm very accurate with one as well. I've used them and carried them for 36 years now.
Believe it or not, there are some good holsters for CCW out there made for SAA's & clones. As for a SA revolver chamering, .357, .41 Mag, .44 Mag, & .45 Colt will all get the job done as will the other old ones like .38-40 & .44-40.
Numbere of rounds are not a handicap, IMHO, due to the fact that most real-life engagements are very limited in number of rounds fired. Six is enough. If it isn't, I'm in a place where what I really need is a carbine or a shotgun! BTW: Carbine chice is a Winchester '94 in .45 Colt & my shotgun is a tricked out Mossberg 500 12 ga. (Still want a lever action 12 ga though...)
These are MY choices and not a swat at the choices of others. Like I said, the most important thing is what one is 'comfy' with in hand. I love the 1911, but I'm happier and more accurate shooting my Ruger.
Bull, out.

Much respect on having a "real" gun hahaha. I love my Ruger Semi, but if I was as good with a single action...it would be my gun of choice...rugers and s & w all the way. The wifey has a S & W 640...we may just have to switch lol ..she also has a Mossberg 500 12. Funny you said lever action 12 ga, cause I actually seen the first one a few weeks ago. My pals dad has one....and they are soo much cooler in person.

I personally feel that a Glock is, by design, the most dependable handgun available on the market today.

| I carry a S&W .38 special (military/police) 4 inch barrel. It's the only pistol I currently own and works as my home defense and carry gun. Looking into getting a pure 'carry gun' in the next few months, probably be a .38 special snubby since I'm comforatable firing that caliber, and I love the simplicity/reliability of a revolver.

I'm like you Bull, shooting a SA is as natural as breathing for me. Just got a USFA .45 with 5.5 barrel and working on my marksmenship with it, while waiting for my HCP. Right now I have an Uncle Mike's Sidekick belt holster for it, but looking for a verticle shoulder rig for conceal carry.
Have you seen USFA's commemorative SA that is chambered for the .30 cal M1 Carbine Round? Carries a 7.5 inch barrel. It's a bit pricey though.

Taurus 850 CIA, .38 special, in blued steel, loaded with 110 grain copper Cor-Bon DPX ammo, two Bianchi speed strips with Cor-Bons, and a quick-opening and very sharp folding pocket knife clipped into my pocket. I carry in an IWB holster.
