How did you hear about the article?

Isn't that a Thursday?  I guess we could have it on a weekday, but the people that actually have to travel a bit to get there might be press for time.  I was also thinking maybe doing one in November and then again in December just to keep the trend going and stay in the "watchful eye of the public".  What does everyone think?  B

We actually invited Fox, KSL, Standard Examiner, Deseret News, Provo harald, SL Trib and a bunch of others.  Deseret News is the only one that showed up.  I bet that changes for our next one.  Popcorn?  I just opened up a Quart of Cold Stone icecream..... B

I will have to check with the wife and see if she is ok with that date, as our anniversary is the 14th.  It will probably work, but I will check and then post the date and time so everyone can start to plan to attend.  B

sorry I've been busy with kids, Tacomatose I wouldn't mind putting together a calendar. Do you still want to make it every second Saturday like we talked about, so it will be routine with everyone and be easier to remember? It sounds like people have different dates in mind. Nov. 10th or 17th? which is it for November.. Tacomatose why don't you decide since you will be planning it for Layton. Then let me know. Also Same time every month?

packingmama, don't you love some of the comments on the story?  The audacity of people to tell you how to raise your children.  All I know is that your kids are 1,000,000 times better off in your home than being raised as spoiled, misguided, freedom hating, little crack-head brats down in Malibu and Hollywood.  More power to you and Sarge, my wife and I plan to raise my kids the same way; the right way.

I will check with Shelbi and make sure that she didn't already have something else planned on the 17th (anniversary) and I will post later tonight as to the date and time.  I think that 6pm will work good as long as we keep the events on the weekends.  We can always mix it up later if we choose to.  We are pretty much starting from scratch on these events so I am sure we will have to mold the calander a little bit.

Where do you guys want to eat??? any suggestions???  I have some places in mind, but I might be persuaded;)  B

I have been reading them all day long, they keep coming. There is now over 70 posts! At first some of them made my blood boil, now I am starting to laugh at them realizing how uneducated some people are and how ignorant they are for not wanting to learn the truth and just go off of the media or the bad things they here about guns. Sgt. and I will continue to raise our kids the way we believe regardless of what other people think or say.  We know are kids will not be one of the statistics of kids getting ahold of guns. Thanks for the comment.

Its all about education, something that apparently most of the antis are not familiar with.  Did you get my message about calling Red Robin?  Take care, B

I had a very low "round to weapon" count with a total of 13 total rounds/2 weapons.  No spare mags carried.

Not counting the boxes of ammo I always have in my truck.. 17x 357 (full cylinder plus 2 speed strips).:D

I had sent you a message asking you about your conversation with Red Robin when you arranged the reservation for the dinner.  I am curious how the conversation went, and how you introduced the group and the fact that we would all be carrying guns.  B

Let's hand out flyers or invitation cards at the USSC and Crossroads gun shows.

:celebrate

Taylorgunsmithing.com always has a booth at Crossroads, I bet he'd let us leave some there for people to take too.

How many rounds? Well, I had 11 rounds in my SW99 (10+1), which I was open carrying.

What people didn't see was the G27 and spare mag in my SmartCarry holster, which meant another 19 rounds (9+1+9). So, I had 30 rounds of .40 S&W on me.

It was a great get-together, but I wouldn't mind having one closer to Cache Valley. It was a long drive to Provo.

I would also like to mention that this event was a combination of people from opencarry.org and utahconcealedcarry.com. I don't want the other forum to be ignored on this.

Clark, I'll just bet that your car can make it north of SLC...

We didn't forget about you, we just forgot to mention you;)  It was a great event, and we are glad you made the drive down.  It is looking like the next one will be in Layton, so that will be a little closer for you, and a little farther for the guys down south.  Take care, B
