Taylorgunsmithing.com always has a booth at Crossroads, I bet he'd let us leave some there for people to take too.
I think we should definetly do this!

If you ever want something done right, you need to include the ladies.

Where are the rest of the women? I haven't seen or heard from any of them on these threads. At least not to my knowledge. Ladies we need to be heard, where are you hiding? Or what's your screenname so I can tell who you are.

I would definitely like to join you next time you get down here to the Provo area. I carried open for several years until I joined the Sherrif's emergency communication team and was told not to. I need to talk to the current Sherrif about it. I don't think it would be a problem as long as there is no hint that I might be an LEO.
What would have been really great would have been to have invited the reporter to a range and let her experience handling a handgun. Being one of the range volunteers ant the Provo range, I'd be happy to provide access to the range next time.

Unfortunately, it seems that this forum, (and many others) are predominately male. Imagine if the number of motivated male members of OCDO and other gun organizations were to be equaled or exceeded by women? Talk about progress! Kudos to packingmama for rallying the "female troops".

This offer was given to the reporter, and we have follow up with emails to make sure the offer was received. You are right, once they get the feel for freedom, they will never give it up!!! B

That would be great. Does the range close soon beacuse of the season. Wouldn't we have to do it soon?

Arranging range time shouldn't ever be a problem. There are many ranges, included outdoor ranges that are open year round. We host a weekly Bowling Pin shoot here in ogden (indoors) and a monthly pin shoot outdoors, and we do them all year long as well.......Just watch them try to stop us from feeding our lead and gun powder addictions B

That is the sweet part of being a range volunteer. I can go or take people anyytime I like as long as the road is passable.

Excellent Job !
We have had alot of exposure through the media here in Virginia this past year concerning OPEN CARRY and I would like to say that you all are doing a fine job.I would also like to add that you have found quite a spokes person with Clark Aposhian, very professional, well informed and seems to have a good attitude.Very good PR.
If I may, I would like to make one suggestion. When talking to the media, rather than calling your gun a"weapon", refer to it as a firearm .The word weapon has an aggressive or negative sound to it. I use the term "defensive firearm" when I speak with the media or when I know they are present, such as a Town Counsel meeting or a dinner gathering such as you had.Remember, it's all about public perception. Just as more exposure will breed tolerance, softening public perception via wording is very effective at gaining acceptance ( the libs do it all the time).
OC'ers in Virginia say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
