buketdude,
this comes a bit late, but you might want to look up new hampshire's laws on carry by non residents, they do require a carry permit for non residents, its cheap, $20.00 for four or five years, and all they do is a background check and issue it, no photo required. hinsdale and chesterfield cops are pretty good, they're used to vermonters straying over the river shopping, but if you go further in to keene n.h. they can get antsy.

(brattleboro is cool i agree, but then brattleboro p.d. has been used to me carrying openly or concealed for the last 40 years. they long ago quit worrying about it.)

Not for open carry, they don't.
NH only requires a license to carry concealed, or to carry a loaded handgun in a car (whether open or concealed).

unless n.h. has changed their law since i last heard residents can indeed carry openly but non residents are required to get a permit for both open or concealed carry. i live just across the river so i do try to keep track of their laws, and i've held a n.h. non resident carry permit.

NH does not allow open carry without a license in vehicles, resident or non-resident.
"8 159:4 Carrying Without License. No person shallcarry a loaded pistol or revolver in any vehicle or concealed upon his person, except in his dwelling, house or place of business, without a valid licensetherefore as hereinafter provided"
Never seen anything to say a non-resident can't open carry other places. Cite it or it didn't happen.

I have lived in NH all my life. Check your facts. You can open carry in NH with out a concealed carry permit. You only need one to carry Open in a car.

i'll take "NewHampshireNative" as the definitive word, he's on the ground and lives with n.h. laws full time.
