| Since I have yet to hear reports on Bowtie Cinemas, I concealed in, but OC'd when I left. Walked by RPD and attendents without incident. I may try my luck with OCing into the cinema, next time.

ClumsyCandy reported that OC at Bowtie was fine and an uneventful experience!

DoubleTap and I have OCd together there without incident - no question but that it was noticed either - all smiles from the staff.
Interesting renovation but we found the seating to be a bit narrow in the auditorium/theater where we were - not uncomfortable though.
We will go back.

| OC'd at Suntrust Bank on Rt 10 Friday while making a large cash withdrawl. Only issue was they did not have enough hundreds. Had breakfast with Grapeshot Saturday at Waffle House on Broad.

According to the clerk at the 7-11 on Patterson down here in the Fan I'm a "bad man" for having a gun and being willing to use it in a defensive manner if it should come to that. The other employees and customers laughed at her when she asked if it was real/loaded and said for me "not much use if it ain't." She called me a bad man after asking if I would shoot somebody and I answered her.
Quickest way I've found to make them shut up with that rhetoric is to say "I was robbed/mugged/whatever..." Simply telling her I had it for self defense wasn't working, but when I made up a story of a previous harrowing encounter of being robbed she understood immediately. I guess it's some mindset for her that in order for someone to refuse to be a victim they have to have been a victim before.
Left with my Mountain Dew and all was merry, I suppose.

I OC to that 7-11 occasionally... usually later at night to get a coke and pina-colada slurpee. The tall male clerk that works nights doesn't seem to have a problem.

Perhaps not Richmond proper, but I figured it was close enough.
* Stopped Friday afternoon at a gas station at exit 104 on I-95. On the southbound side of the highway, don't remember the name. Pumped gas, used the facilities, grabbed a slice of pizza...not even a look that I saw, and I know it was visible, because I was carrying crossdraw for the drive and that thing sticks way the hell out on my hipbone. Either the folks in that part of town are the most unobservant I've ever seen, or they're so conditioned to seeing OC they don’t even blink.
* Walmart on 17 in Tappahannock on Sunday afternoon. Only had .357 Sig and a lonely box of .45 FMY in the case, so I grabbed the .45. What's up with all the .357 Sig in Walmart this weekend? Then I got a sandwich at the Subway in the back of the store. No that I saw, except for the guy in the parking lot pushing all the carts...wicked case of stinkeye. Whatever, dude.

Suntrust @ Parham & Brook Rds. Even had a Richmond City cop walk in right after me. No one even batted an eye.

I live a couple blocks away from that 7-11. They should be very used to me OCing, by now. I have never had an issue.
OC'd at the new Chipotle on W. Grace St. No noticable .

I OC there (7-11) all the time and they don't care but sometimes they talk about it with me, but this is the first time that a clerk opined negatively with regards to it.

New guy here...
OC'd in various places in Mechanicsville with no problems...
Home Depot, Kohls, walmart, food lion(s).
Went to the "new" kroger on rt. 301 near 295. The meat counter guy aske me if I was a LEO. I said no, just a "regular" citizen. He asked me "So, you afraid Obama's gonna take your guns?" I said "Yes, I think he'll try." His tone suggested a tone of dislike for my OC'ing. Oh well...

OC'd at Chipotle near Va Ctr Commons. No issues, ran into a guy from the building I work in, no .
Then, as I was leaving and had pulled out to the light at Brook Rd, a guy with his family pulls up in the next lane and gets my attention.
Him: So, are you an undercover cop or something? (I think his kids may have put him up to it)
Me:No, why? (Knowing exactly why as I remembered seeing him inside.)
Him: I saw that you had a gun on your hip.
Me: Oh, well, that's just because [Cliff's Notes explanation of VA's OC where alcohol is served law before the light flipped]
Him and Wife in unison: Ahhhhh, I didn't know that (with heads nodding).
And then we had to move on or get honked at.
I'll mark that down as a positive encounter.

OCd at Taco Bell on Broad St. above Glenside tonight for very late resupply - about 9:40 PM - place was packed.
Cashier was until she saw the money in my hand and realized that I was buying not selling. Turned all smiles from that point on - they even got my order right.

OC'd this morning at virginia credit union in mechanicsville, no problems and the place was packed while I sat in line for several minutes.
Then.... I had to go to wachovia on rt. 360 and Elm in M'ville. I chose drive thru as they have the "no guns" picture on the front door. So, as I'm pulling up, there is a guy in a jeep taking up two lanes, trying to wait for the next open drive thru lane. Now, I'm guilty of this in the past, but I watch and see if there's someone pulling in and will pick a lane once I would begin to inconvenience others. He remained inconsiderate (in my opinion) and did not pick a lane as there was now someone coming up. So, I pulled into one of the lanes that he was waiting for, thus eliminating one of his choices. He then had to choose the other lane he was waiting for otherwise, hit my car.
So, I have my windows down as its a nice, sunny morning. He rolls his window down and here's the dialogue:
Him (in a rather loud voice): "So I wasn't pulled up enough for you huh?"
Me: "No."
Him: " Well, at least you're honest about it! OK, OK. I see how it is!"
Me: busy writing out my deposit slip...
Him: "I'd like to take my gun out and shoot you right in the forehead, but I don't have one."
Me: "ok."
I believe he saw my NRA sticker on the back window, thus prompting the last response.
I was open carrying while buckled in, FYI and stayed that way throughout. I feel that I remained calm, but would like anyone's thoughts on this exchange. Feedack please, good, bad, or ugly?
