Well I found the business card. If anybody wants to call the store in regards to their policy, the manager's contact information is:

Alan Hines

804-740-6116

For a company that's teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, ToysRus shouldn't be asking any of their customers to leave the store!

Best Buy does not have any corporate policy regarding carry by customers, and local managers have no authority to enact such policies on their own. The corporate offices in Minnesota are posted and have metal detectors. The employee handbook does not specifically prohibit carrying, but weapons are listed as "inappropriate behavior" which "could" result in termination.

Indeed. I spent somewhere between 100-150 dollars at Target and Circuit City the next day. Toys r us could have had that money right in their almost-obsolete (Why do you need Toys r us when Wal-mart has everything for a few cents cheaper? :P) pocket if the manager wasn't so intent on exercising his "managerial power".

OC'd at Wendy's in Midlothain, near the mall.  Wendy's is giving out (2) $1 gift cards per purchase.  I hate carrying the garbage around so I walked up to a nice senior citizen and asked her if she would like my $2 cards.  As I walked up she noticed the 3913 on my belt and had a slight worried look, but when I offered her my discount cards she was all smiles and very thankful saying "I eat here all the time".  Hopefully I convinced her that OC'ing individuals are "nice guys".  :D

OC'd at Target on W. Broad.

During checkout a woman in her late 20's or so asked me if I had a permit for my gun. I thought she was going to start ranting about how horrible it is, that I could openly carry, etc, etc. But instead, when I told her you didn't need a permit, she said "Wow, thats interesting. I had a concealed carry permit a while back but it expired, I didn't know you didn't need a permit to carry like that". Then she went on about how great of a state VA is for firearms, then told me how much of a pain in the ass it was to travel up to New York while carrying. I then referred her to this website, and told her to take a look at the travelers map :D.

OC'd at the "Davis and Main" restaurant in Richmond last evening for dinner.  Nice place.  Fancy food.  The place had low lighting and no one seemed to noticed my S&W.

Open carried at Staples and Kroger and Hair Cuttery in Short Pump and Office Max and Borders in Glen Allen Dec. 31 with no problems. A very nice woman who works for the Federal Reserve who was in line in front of me while at Kroger asked me when I became a police officer. I explained I'm not and open carry is legal in Virginia. She thought permits and registration were required in Virginia to even posess a gun in your own home, much less anywhere else..... line was very long due to New Year's Eve, so we had a nice ten or more minute conversation about banking, the fed, guns, etc (we both work in the financial industry).

OC'd at "Cheeburger Cheeburger" at lunch.  The waitresses noticed and the manager dropped by to say hi, but that's it.  Nothing was said about the S&W.  Great burgers and shakes...

After being told to take my gun out of their store in Colonial Heights, VA, I wrote to Best Buy corporate HQ to complain, and received a letter in response that said that while they don't have a corporate policy on a gun ban, they DO let local managers make those decisions.

OC'd at Walmart in Midlothian.  I think the only people that noticed were some old guys wearing camo jackets in the sporting goods section - and I don't think they minded.

Open Carried at Texas Roadhouse Va Center Commons over the weekend. NOT    open carry friendly. I was first asked if I was an LEO, to which I responded no. When asked why I had a firearm, I advised the manager that I had it for self defense. Their answer was to tell me that I had to secure my firearm in the vehicle, that "They didn't wan't anything they couldn't handle." So, my family and I left.

I did contact their corporate office who did verify it is their policy to ban firearms in their locations.

I carried my full sized revolver at the Texas Roadhouse in Christiansburg last year.  Noone said anything or asked me to take it to the car.  I did have to wait nearly an hour to get a table because I was in a large party.  We all waited outside, and I think someone may have called the cops on me because an officer rolled by.  He just glanced in my direction, realized I was just a normal citizen, and moved on.
