I was OC at Fireside on Friday around 6pm with my roommates mom and dad, although she wasn't too excited about it, there were few if any reactions. Most of the patrons merely looked and became fixated, that is if they were able to pull themselves out of their own little worlds.
Interesting. Did the wait staff notice? I was washing dishes around that time, but I didn't overhear any conversations regarding any OCing customers.

I think that the greeters noticed as we were walking out, but didn't say anything because they didn't want to alarm the other customers waiting by the door... plus they already had our money and we were leaving.

| So any ideas for the next Pullman event? Figure that since there are only two more weeks left in the semester we can pull one last get together in our tiny town before everyone goes their seperate ways.

I'm thinking that we should plan on a get together this Saturday and see if we can't get everybody to show up. That would be at least 6 and could be as many as 9 (counting off the top of my head). It would sure be a show of force in Pullman. Look at how many people we talked too last time with only 5 present. I know we've already been to Quiznos twice, but they're very friendly to us and it's always full of people so my vote is for there. If you want a change of food, Taco Del Mar is across the street and they also always have people in it. Either would be a good location. Heck, if everybody showed up, we could even split up and send a group of OCers to both coffee shops downtown before or after lunch to increase the number of people who would see us.

Let me know what time would work and I might be able to do it. I have to go to work at 5pm. Also, I'll have to CC because all I have is an IWB holster. haha

I am going to need alot more copies of the WGR, I had to pay a parking ticket today down here in Pullman and so I went into the Pullman Police station OCing and paid the ticket (over 2 hours in a marked parking space $10). The person behind the counter gave my beretta a passing glance and that was all. On my way out I noticed that there was a rotating pamphlet center which appeared to have information about all sorts of issues from all sorts of sources. I went back in to inquire as to how one goes about putting in pamphlets. When I told her that I wanted to put in some information in about OC she got a big grin on her face and said it was a great idea. She went on to mention that it merely needs to be approved by the commander, sometimes by the cheif depending on the issue. So I gave her one of the pamphlets with my contact information on it if there were any questions. When she began to look it over she mentioned that when people come in for their CPL they direct them to OCDO and packing.org for information along with providing a pamphlet on CC. She floated the idea that they could pass out WGR pamphlets along with their current CC ones. That all being said, I think I am going to need to order a whole bunch more for the Pullman Police to distribute for us.

I think that a IWB holster should be fine, all you have to do is tuck in your shirt and it should be fine.

Yeah, but I don't like the gray area of having a partially concealed weapon. I prefer to either CC or OC completely.

| Would around 2 work as a good time on Saturday for everybody to show up in force? I have a friend who is going to be joining in on his first time OCing and is just looking for a time and place. Quiznos sounds good to me, but if we get enough people to show then I think we should absolutly try to inform people at multiple locations. I am down for coffee earlier if anybody else is in, I know that Dave mentioned something along those lines.

So our last little OC get together went pretty well yesterday. Dave, Daves GF, Kevin, a buddy of mine Chris and the roommate all went downtown to Quiznos because they have been very friendly to us and likewise are always pretty full when we walk in.
I arrive first with Rob, the roommate, and head on in and wait in line to order, people are watching but there were no obvious signs of concern. As I walk up the front the person taking orders briefly looks up and returns to his work for only a split second, lifts his head again, obviously looking at my beretta, and letting out an uncontrollable "awesome" complimented with a smile (it is my understanding that this is the same individual who was talking with Dave a few weeks back). It finally hits me that not waiting for everyone else to show up would be rude so I decide to go and wait outside (more people can see you if you're outside). My buddy Chris shows up a few minutes later with his revolver on his side followed shortly by Dave, the GF and Kevin. After a short conversation with a guy who knew Chris and Kevin we went inside to order.
The large group of sorority girls who walked in as we were waiting outside created more than enough time make our presence known, but alas these ladies wouldn't strike up a conversation us , I think it must have been my political statement ("peace through superior firepower" t-shirt). So we get ready to order and have yet to have a single conversation, and as I prepare to figure out what the hell I was going to order a man behind us asks "What are you shooting?" The only reason I am able to remember it so well is because it struck me as an odd question and I didn't know quite how to respond. I ask if he wanted to know where I was going shooting, what I own, or why are you carrying. This being my first indepth OC discussion I was a tad bit unprepared finding it difficult to throw together coherent sentences, but I managed. I told him that I carry a Beretta 92F, he quickly asked if I carried a round in the chamber (because my safety is visibly off) and I replied that I did but that others don't and that it is a personal preference. He asked if I we carried on campus and the SCCC side of me came out, I started going into a quasi rant about how school policy at WSU doesn't allow guns, but that it isn't against state law and that I can carry on any other state campus, but am not allowed to carry on WSU because I would face school sanctions. The conversation then went back more towards OC when I explained that I did have my CPL and that one is not required to OC, but that it was to place a piece of fabric over it. This is when Dave's GF stepped in and handed him a WGR. He seemed to acknowledge the fact and appeared somewhat knowledgeable about the laws, although a little confused. His friend asked if you were allowed to carry with a round in the chamber if you have a CPL, I corrected him and reiterated that you don't need a CPL to open carry or have a round chambered while doing so, but if you conceal you need a CPL and are completely allowed to have a round in the chamber. The next step was obviously mentioning that you have to have a CPL if you are going to carry a loaded firearm in a car, concealed or otherwise. The men seemed to agree that the laws came across as quite silly in what you can and can't do depending on if you have a CPL.
The conversation went on this way for several minutes and essentially concluded when the guy behind the counter asked what I wanted to order. There were sporadic questions and bits of information thrown about but nothing as direct as shortly prior. The end of the conversation was made obvious when the man asked the following question "So I take it you are not going to vote for Hillary then?" to which I replied "It doesn't appear to be in the cards." Then he shook my hand and thanked us for standing up for our rights and said that it was good to see that people were doing so especially in times like these.
After sitting down and starting to eat several others came in and Dave was the only one OCing on the side of the table with his back to the counter, as one man passed he noticed the 1911 and I am surprised that he didn't hit his forehead on the grip. His face visibly trained on the firearm for several seconds as he slowly passed, Dave didn't notice due to the fact that his face was buried in the sandwich. This was about the last event before we took pictures (which Dave will be posting eventually) and took off. Overall a good OC day and my first true initiation into OC.

By the way, nice situational awareness Kevin. lol. Maybe we need to get you some retention training for the next time you have a snatch and grab attempt on your
"visible 1st amendment rights". 
Dave didn't notice due to the fact that his face was buried in the sandwich. Come on now, it WAS a sandwich from Quiznos. They're pretty good.

Panda, I think you did awesome. It does get a lot easier everytime you discuss it with somebody.
