Living in VA I feel very lucky to be in a gold star state. But I have some land up on droop mountain , and well sometimes I go through Marlington from the Va. side to get there, other times I come up 219 from 64 to go there, should I have any problems OC'ing on my way? Any one know of local ordinances prohibiting OC through places like Greenbrier county or Hillsborough?
Me and the wife wanna retire in God's country someday on our land , but not if there some BS local law making OC illegal.
Any help is helpful.

| As far as I know here in Pocahontas county you can carry OC as long as it is in a place where Law Enforcement can see it.

I thought Virginia had statewide preemption?
'cept VCU and that other crime-ridden campus I can't remember the name of.

Seems there is a grey area for oc in your vehicle in WV. I believe the confusion comes into play with the hunting laws that also govern some firearms within WV.
This FAQ from WV SP may help:
http://www.wvstatepolice.com/legal/faq.html
I believe there also may be more information regarding the subject on WVCDL's site:
