I would assume a vehicle is personal property because it is registered to you, the owner.
Vehicles are already "personal property."
There is no general exception to the statutory concealed carry ban on "private property" or any type, nor the statutory encasement requirement in vehicles, boats, and aircraft.

Mike is correct. Your car is personal property, but not private property. Driving your personal property (car) on a PUBLIC road does not make the bubble inside your car magically private property and therefore exempt from a whole number of restrictive laws.
If CC is legal on your private property, but it is not legal in a car, then either the statute is unconstitutional (yes, it should be, but it has held up in court tests) or your car is not private property. This is one clue.

ACLU....Against Civil Liberties Unit
Here is my inquiry:
Dear Fellow Americans and Wisconsinites,
As a Veteran of the U.S. Army, I was wondering what position the Wisconsin ACLU takes on the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans.
I would like to become a member of the ACLU however, I would not be able to support any organization which would not support my individual 2nd Amendment right.
I eagerly await your reply.
Sincerely,
James A. Gleason

Mike is correct. Your car is personal property, but not private property.
The term "private property" is used in the statute in a manner that construes it to mjean "real property," i.e., land. The other forms of property are "personal property" and "intellectual property." "Private property" means usually real property which is not public, i.e., possessed by the government.
Fun, eh?

Seems pretty @$$ backwards to me, then again, the liberal mind has never made sense to me.

Has nothing to do with liberalism, which i am one, classically that is, but is just about plain jane legal terms - public vs. private, real v. personal property, etc.
property like cars, dogs, etc., are "personal property." Land and improvements on land are "real property."
