Police look for two robbers
Mount Pleasant police are searching for two robbers who held up three people in the 2100 block of Racine Street early Wednesday morning.
Reports said the victims were on the porch of residence, about to enter the home, when one of the robbery suspects approached them from behind. Police said he was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the victims.
After taking two wallets, the suspect with the gun fled with an accomplice who was waiting on the sidewalk, according to a police statement. No one was injured.
Both suspects are described as black men in their late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with thin builds and shaved heads. Both were wearing dark pants and black hooded sweatshirts at the time of the robbery.

Home burglarized while owner cuts grass
Racine police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1100 block of Ohio Street Monday afternoon.
Reports said a woman was cutting grass in the yard and when she came back in, she noticed a person go out the front door. Police said she didn’t know whether the person was male or female.
Reports said a lock box from the bedroom that contained $1,000 in cash, a checkbook and other documents was missing.
So, OC while doing some honest yard work just very well maybe a necessity, not just a right!!!

RACINE
School counselors threatened
Three counselors at Gilmore Middle School, 2330 Northwestern Ave., received written death threats in their school mailboxes on Friday, according to Racine police.
Reports said the teachers all received the notes and drawings between 7:50 and 8:10 a.m. in their mailboxes in the school’s main office. The notes and drawings depict bombs, shootings and a dog being killed.

Elderly man robbed in his home
An 84-year-old man told Racine police he was robbed inside his residence Friday morning by two suspects.
Reports said the suspects walked into the house in the 1400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at 11:35 a.m. and punched the man in the face. The man fell to the ground, and one of the suspects allegedly reached into his front pocket.
The robbers took the man’s money clip, which contained an unknown amount of cash, and left, police said.

Man robbed at gunpoint
A 57-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning while on the front porch of his home in the 2000 block of Howe Street, Racine police said.
The victim told officers he was sitting on the front porch when the suspect ran up to him with a small, black, semi-automatic pistol in his hand. The suspect demanded the man’s wallet, took it and then fled north on Howe Street, reports said.
The wallet contained about $180 in cash, credit cards and identification.
Man robbed at knifepoint
A 62-year-old man told Racine police he was robbed by two suspects Sunday afternoon in the 2100 block of 16th Street.
Reports said the man was approached by the suspects who asked if he wanted to buy some “dope.” When the man told them he did not, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a switchblade knife.
Police said the suspects went through the man’s pockets and took his wallet, containing $20 in cash and identification. One of the suspects then punched the man in the face, reports said.
Racine rescue was called and transported the man to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 3801 Spring St. Police said he received stitches to a laceration on his forehead.

... and to think all my old friends (I grew up in Racine) don't understand why I don't go out with them at night.
Germantown seems a whole lot better all the sudden.

Great posts James. How in the world do politicians find the ignorant gall to claim law abiding citizens don't need guns.
NOT TO MENTION the chief of police of a major city (ahem Philandering Fuhrer Flynn)
What a dis-service to the citizens of milwaukee to KNOW the criminal element out there and know what the criminal element does and tell people they don't need to protect themselves in Milwaukee.

racine is like the asscrack of SE wisconsin lately... racine pd cant keep up with all the crap going on in that city..
its up to the citizens to defend themselves.. seems like a good city to have mandatory firearm requirements  give every homeowner a gun (teach em to use it if they want that) and watch the criminals filter back down to chicago or up to milwaukee where we dont need guns

APPLETON — A New London man was found guilty of multiple charges arising from the rape of a disabled woman who called police with her medical alert necklace.
Eliseo Corona Vargas, 51, was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault, burglary and bail jumping after a jury trial last week in Outagamie County Circuit Court.
Judge Mitch Metropulos scheduled sentencing for Aug. 6.
In the early morning hours of June 7, 2008, Vargas broke into the woman’s New London apartment while she was sleeping and assaulted her.
She activated her medical alert pendant that puts out an automated call through her speakerphone and screamed “someone is raping me.”
The medical alert vendor called police who soon arrived and followed a blood trail to a nearby apartment and arrested Vargas.
The two were not acquainted.

NEENAH — Police will ask that a 16-year-old boy who rammed, punched and disarmed a police officer of an electric stun gun face adult felony charges.
Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson said the boy was being held in secure detention in the Outagamie County Jail Wednesday evening.
He was taken into custody at his home after his parent called police about 3:30 p.m. and said the boy was "upset, punching walls and brandishing a hatchet."
A police officer sent to the home found the boy seated on a bed and tried talking to him.
"The juvenile, who is considerably larger than the officer, then lunged at the officer, picking him up and ramming him backwards into a closet," Wilkinson said in a press release.
He said the teen tried to take the officer's handgun and Taser, and gained control of the Taser and aimed it at the officer while pulling the trigger.
Police said the Taser did not discharge since the boy did not throw the on-off switch.
Another officer arrived on the scene and the teen was taken into custody.
The officer was injured but did not require medical treatment.
Wilkinson said the officer, whose name is not being released by police, has more than five years experience with the department.
Wilkinson said police will ask that the teen be charged as an adult, and said possible charges could include battery to a police officer, possession of an electric weapon and attempting to disarm an officer.
If they are willing to do this to police what do you think the are willing to do to you?

| MADISON, Wis. -- A 21-year-old man arrested Tuesday on the city's West Side has confessed to a Father's Day shooting in which five bullets were sprayed at a car, according to Madison police.Authorities said that charges will also likely be filed within two days implicating Stevie L. Triplett in two other serious Madison shootings since January.Triplett is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.Routine detective work found him at a friend's Hammersley Street apartment. There, police recovered a .45 caliber weapon that police say was used in the June 21 shooting at Hammersley and Theresa streets. Authorities said it's one of three guns linked to Triplett, whose real identity had to be verified through the FBI fingerprint database.Triplett gave local police a false name and false birthdates after he was taken into custody, police said.Investigators said that they believe Triplett's street names include "Soul" and "Sean Don." They had been searching for that person, but didn't have a real name until now.Madison's West Precinct Capt. Jay Lengfeld said it appears the Father's Day shooting was related to retaliation by members within one gang.The three shootings that police said that Triplett was involved in are among 10 that they believe are linked, mostly to gang activity. The 10 are among 21 shootings since January citywide.

its funny when i was working in kenosha alot of people consider racine the "ghetto" of kenosha.. so maybe 
you can tell when you cross the county line. it goes from quiet highway with nicer looking house to houses that are falling apart within a block of the racine county line.

What about Theresa Halbach who was killed by Steven Avery and his dirt bag nephew. If she had been armed she may still be here today....And we would be less 2 dirt bags 
Now he wants a new trial.
