Just got back from the WalMart on Atlanta Highway in Montgomery. Assistant Manager there tonight was a real nice guy named Chris.
I was looking for a belt for a vacuum cleaner. They didn't have one in stock so Chris took one off a display model and gave it to me! His comment, "My job is to see that you are a happy customer."
In the process, I asked him about WalMart's policy on firearms. He said that, unless corporate had changed it, he preferred open carry in the store. Talk about my jaw hitting the floor!!
Anyway, if any of you happen to go by there in the evening and he's working, be sure to say, "Hello" to him. He is, in my opinion, one of the good guys.

Didn't you read the post, they DIDN'T have the part.....
Did you get a used / opened package dscount?
I hope you ran outside and got a second pistol to carry back in.
How is their bullet supply, mine is just 2 big empty shelves.
Wouldn't mind a road trip for that kind of service.

Read my post again. He gave me the part; no charge at all!! Now that is service above and beyond!! Absolutely refused my offers of payment.
Their bullet supply is limited, but they do have some. I've had better luck with Southeastern Distributors (mostly LEO oriented) and a store out on Eastern Blvd.; WC, LLC. Both stores have been really great as far as both stock and customer service goes.
It didn't hurt that when I went to the store on Eastern Blvd., I had my granddaughter (9 mos. old) with me and all the women in there went nuts over her!!

Ha. My Wal-Mart has an isle named "Institutional Food Products". It is in Elkton, MD. They have like a 5 lbs can of Chocolate pudding. I get them all the time. They have like large quanity containers of food like a wholesale club but its only one isle. Never seen this stuff in any other Wal-Mart. Rock on!Last edited on Sun May 10th, 2009 07:24 pm by thejax

I don't know if he was OC'ing potatoheadman, he said he was just at the Wal-Mart, and just happened to ask the question about firearms in Wal-Mart.
