I have a Beretta M96 that my wife got me for Christmas.  She got two very nice holsters with it.  One a paddle holster and the other a belt holster.  Both are very well constructed of thick leather and have a great finish.  BUT, both of them are made so that the snap for the strap is right over the safety.  So when I push the snap together it turns the safety to the fire position  :cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss:

So I shopped around at the gun show last weekend and bought another holster that is better, but darn it, this one has the same arrangement.  What the hey.  Don't the makers of these holsters ever actually check stuff like this?????

Moving the snap a forth of an inch up would solve the problem.  Can it really be that much harder to make the thing right  :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Anybody have a M96 with a holster that is RIGHT?

Check at the armory on the corner of kempsville and indian river, they sold me a tagua holster for a taurus 92 which I really like.  I know the safety is in a different location on the 96 than it is on my gun though.

I don't understand the issue.  I got an Elite for the fact that it has a decock only and no safety.  The safety is too easy to forget on after decocking.  With the hammer down, the double action trigger pull is very long.  A traditional safety lever is entirely not necessary.
