OH MY GOODNESS IN HEAVEN FINALLY SOME 9MM AT WAL-MART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped in late tonight around 11:30pm and did my usual tour of the sporting good's ammo section, and sure enough it was there!!  First time in over a month, maybe six weeks that my Wal-Mart has had any 9mm (or ANY handgun ammo).

They had a box of .45, 2 boxes of .40, and 5 boxes of 9mm.

It was all Blazer Brass, which I have never shot before, but heard almost entirely good things about.

I bought 4 boxes of 9mm (for $9.47 each!), and as soon as I left I realized that I should have just bought the 5th box.  Honestly, at the time I figured some poor old Joe like me was going to come in real soon looking for cheap 9mm and be very sad if there wasn't at least one box on the shelf for him, so I left one for the next lucky customer.  Now I find myself no longer feeling bad for that next poor old Joe and regretting the decision I made.

I already know it's going to be gone when I go back to get it tomorrow.
:( :( :(

Also, just a brief OC experience that I had (partially copied from my posting in the "New and curious" thread.)

*..................while I was waiting on the manager to grab the ammo case keys, I chatted with one of the late night stockers (a young african-american lady, very nice), who I went through this routine with, because she saw me OC'ing.

Started of course with "You must be a cop."  I told her that I wasn't and that I was just a regular person like her, and from there the rest of the conversation started about how it always does.

She then told me she was very scared of guns, and I told her that we tend to be afraid of things that we are not familiar with, as this is just our human nature.  She admitted that she was not familiar with guns, and had never even shot one before.  I tried to explain to her that they can be viewed merely as a tool that protects us from the "bad guys".  She said "yeah but the bad guys have guns too."  And I said, "Yes ma'am they do, and imagine that one of those bad guys plans to rob you and then kill you so that you can't identify him, what are you going to do?"  She said, "I don't know."  I said, "Well I know what I would do."  When she stopped right there and thought about what I had just said, I could tell that I at LEAST gave her something to think about for the rest of her nightshift.

Another educational OC experience, as I seem to have more and more of these nowadays..

It's been exactly six months. Still feel bad about leaving some ammo on the table, BR?

I hope not. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff.

Consider it an educational pro-gun experience--the fifth box of ammo isn't all that important... they'll make more.  :)

Maybe so......when they have it. I haven't been able to get any .38 here in Goldsboro for a year. The lady said they send them like 2 boxes at a time, and it gets gone as soon as they put it on the shelf.
